Today Pure Networks released Network Magic 2.0, the late
st version of their software that helps consumers set up, manage and protect their home networks. You can download it online and they offer a free 14-day trial.
For anyone who has ever wanted to easily set up file sharing between their computers at home, or share a printer over their network between any computer in their house, this software makes that incredibly easy. It also builds a graphical map showing all of the devices on your network, constantly monitors your Internet connection status and network activity for you, and gives you a really easy way to troubleshoot and repair any connectivity problems that arise. We find it really handy to figure out whether our Internet connection has gone down again, or whether our router has gone on the fritz (and needs to be power cycled, again!). By looking at the Network Magic Network Map, we can figure that out right away.
Network Magic 2.0 also adds Net2Go, which lets you access files on your network from anywhere on the Internet. This is a really handy feature. You just type in your personal Net2Go website address, enter a password, and you can access your files. A great way to grab files on your home PC from work.
